Aberdeen Lane

The Project Design team had the outline brief that the residential scheme had to achieve BREEAM Excellent Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. Due to the specifiers concerns over fire performance the original external wall insulation (EWI) specification also called for a mineral wool insulation to be incorporated within the system. Upon consultation with Dryvit, the Project Design team selected the Dryvit Outsulation Rail system for use as it met the outline design intent for the project, whilst its LPCB fire certification and use of BREEAM A+ rated EPS, (Expanded Polystyrene), made it the obvious choice for the works.

Astral House

This former office building, in Norbury, has been converted into 55 flats comprising of 1 Studio, 50 one bedroom and 4 two bedroom apartments. The Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was specified on the scheme as its lightweight nature provided the ideal cladding option for the existing brick work facade. Completed with the acrylic Sandpebble Fine texture finish to provide a durable and clean cut façade.

Bournville College

Dryvit worked closely with the Architect, Broadway Maylan, and the Design Team from Shepherd Construction Western Division to ensure the building maximized its potential as an architecturally prominent landmark. Dryvit's Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was selected with the PMRB Sandpebble Texture finish in a bespoke Bourneville Blue Colour. This system also satisfied the thermal performance required for the project of .20W/m2K.

Connell Sixth Form College

Building Control stipulated that as this is an education building the chosen cladding system had to satisfy their stringent requirements for fire performance. As the Dryvit Outsulation Plus system with its expanded polystyrene (EPS) held the relevant LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certification relevant for a steel frame and solid substrate it was well placed to meet the client and requirements for insurer approval for this mixed use development. This system also satisfied the thermal performance required for the project of .21W/m2K.

High Street, Kidlington

High Street, Kidlington is a Dental Practice to the ground and first floor, with a flat to the mansard roof. Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) was installed over a lightweight steel framed substrate and cement particle sheathing boards and was selected for its quick installation and to improve the overall energy efficiency of the existing walls to exceed current standards and to improve the aesthetics of the building. Finished with lymestone and speciality finish Stonemist to match the appearance of the local stone buildings.

High Street, Kidlington

Holyrood Student Residence - Edinburgh

Built to service the University of Edinburgh, the Holyrood Student Residence is in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic old town. When opened in 2016 the development provided over 1,100 new student rooms and enjoys an array of on-site student resource, amenity and social spaces. As the building was more than 18 metres in height Dryvit's comprehensive BR135 and Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) fire approvals were instrumental in satisfying both building control and insurer requirements for the project, which allowed the cost effective expanded polystyrene (EPS) based Outsulation insulated render system to be specified for use on the scheme.

King Edward Quay

King Edwards Quay, Colchester is Smart-Student Living rented accommodation. 7500m2 of Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was specified incorporating, 190mm expanded polystyrene (EPS) installed over prefabricated pods. Ashlar grooves were cut into the EPS to satisfy the local planners requirements for a panelised system.

Levennouth Education Campus

The development of the new Levenmouth Education Campus combines Levenmouth Academy with Fife College in Buckhaven, Fife. The Campus creates 23,000m2 of education space with the college and school sharing a range of core facilities. As the Dryvit Outsulation system with its expanded polystyrene (EPS) core held the relevant LPCB certification to satisfy insurer requirements with a scope of specification that met the projects outlying technical, aesthetic and commercial requirements it was deemed as the most suitable choice of system. 4,800m2 of the Outsulation External Wall Insulation system was installed.

Mann Island, Liverpool

Mann Island is an iconic development on a pivotal site on Liverpool’s waterfront between the Pier Head and the Albert Dock. Dryvit ACR 200 anti-crack render system was applied over Cement Board MD incorporating PMRB Sandpebble in China White in the residential Area, the brief was to incorporate a bright modern contemporary look to the internal courtyard apartments. The architect wanted a polymer modified anti crack render which incorporated the PMRB finish, this was chosen due to its Dirt Pick up Resistant properties. 7000m2 Dryvit ACR 200 over Cement MD installed.

Motel One, Manchester

Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed with Dryvit’s Speciality finish Stonemist incorporating a Quartz Aggregate, which was approved by Manchester City’s Council Planning Department to be used alongside the retained 19th century façade of the hotel. Stonemist is a natural finish that accents the environment in subtle tones and enhances any exterior wall and incorporates special aggregates to pick up the natural sunlight reflecting the glitter and beauty of only the rarest of stones.

NSECH, Cramlington

19,000 m2 of Dryvit's Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed on the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH) in Cramlington. This is the first of an innovative new model of emergency care facilities to be built throughout the UK. Completed: 2014. The NSECH project was recognised at the 2015 Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Awards winning the Non Residential New Build Category and the coveted Project of the Year Award. The independent judging panel said "the ambitious and striking finish of this project helped to set it apart from the other worthy winners".

Port Glasgow Shared Campus - Port Glasgow

Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system incorporating Dryvit's cost effective metal effect speciality finish, Reflectit, was utilised to clad to large feature pods within atrium spaces in the Port Glasgow High School and St Stephens’s High School. Completed in 2013. Outsulation was used in place of the originally specified zinc cladding which proved to difficult and costly to install. Dryvit speciality finishes often provide cost alternatives to metal, stone, brick or wood facade systems while delivering energy efficient walls compositions.

Premier Inn, Tottenham Hale

The new 96-bedroom Premier Inn in Tottenham Hale has been finished with Dryvit Custom Brick to achieve the appearance of London Stock. Main Contractor RBG Group contacted Dryvit as they required a system that was capable of sole adhesive fix to Siniat Weather Defence Board. 1,600 m2 of Dryvit's Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed as it held the relevant BR 135 classification and LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certification, which was instrumental in satisfying building control requirements and securing the specification.

Silverburn Shopping Centre

The £20million leisure extension is anchored by a 14-screen Cineworld & features 11 new restaurants. Works also comprised the demolition of the last remaining, dilapidated section of the former Pollok Centre prior to the construction of the new facilities. 1,200m2 of Dryvit's Outsulation external wall insulation system was installed directly onto a lightweight steel frame & sheathing board substrate. Dryvit's comprehensive Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) fire approvals were instrumental in satisfying insurer requirements for the project, which allowed the cost effective expanded polystyrene (EPS) based Outsulation insulated render system to be specified for use on the scheme.

Streatham Hub

Streatham Hub is breathing new life into Streatham’s bustling high street. The mixed-used development comprises of 250 apartments, a 60,000 sqft retail Tesco store and 540 parking spaces. A total of 3,400m2 of Dryvit Outsulation Rail external wall insulation (EWI) system was installed. The Outsulation Rail insulated render system was fixed over SFS and cement particle board PMRB finish in a Sandpebble Fine texture was used in the colour China White.

The Rock, Bury

. As the Dryvit Outsulation and Outsulation Rail system with its expanded polystyrene (EPS) held the relevant BR 135 classification and LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certification relevant for a steel frame and solid substrate it was well placed to meet the client and requirements for insurer approval for this mixed use development. This system also satisfied the thermal performance required for the project of .21W/m2K, Sandpebble Texture finish in a Moonlight Grey which incorporated the PMRB finish this was chosen due to its proven Mildew and Dirt pick up resistant properties.

The Signal, 91 Newington Causeway

The Signal rises 22 storeys over one of the most exciting residential redevelopment areas in central south London. The Outsulation external wall insulation (EWI) system was specified incorporating 50mm expanded polystyrene insulation and is finished with a bespoke Dryvit speciality TerraNeo finish. The Signal will act as a catalyst for the total transformation of Newington Causeway. It is at the start of an array of hugely important landmark developments along this stretch. The façade of the building consists of sheathed lightweight steel frame clad with 3,600m2 of Dryvit Outsulation external wall insulation system (EWI).

Waitrose, Truro

The new Waitrose and Great Cornish Food Store in Truro are located in new purpose-built premises leased from the Duchy of Cornwall. The Duchy was heavily involved in façade design of the new store, Dryvit SHAPE Prefabricated Features, manufactured off site, were offered as a light weight, cost-effective solution to reproducing stone Pediments, cornices, pilasters and capitals and other architectural features around the perimeter of the development. Cast concrete Pillars were finished with our speciality finish Stonemist, to deliver subtle tones of colour with special aggregate used to pick up the natural sunlight; reflecting like the glitter of natural stone.

Windmill Community Campus, Kirkcaldy

The new £21.5 million Windmill Community Campus has been developed to house Viewforth High School and Rosslyn Primary School as well as a range community facilities that will service the people of Kirkcaldy. Dryvit Outsulation system with its expanded polystyrene (EPS) core held the relevant LPCB certification to satisfy insurer requirements with a scope of specification that met the projects outlying technical, aesthetic and commercial requirements it was deemed as the most suitable choice of system.
