Dart Valley Systems (DVS) were thrilled to be chosen for the refurbishment project at Heathrow Terminal 5. DVS worked with Heathrow Airport (formerly known as Heathrow Airport) for over 15 years, providing brassware and water controls and have become established as a trusted partner. The Terminal 5 design team at Heathrow Airport worked with DVS to expand the range to include flush valves, urinal controls, automatic taps amongst others to fulfil their requirements. This specification was then carried forward to future Terminal projects.After a thorough review of washroom products from leading suppliers, the Heathrow Airport design team nominated DVS as the preferred supplier. There was a high level of confidence in the reliability of the products and support provided from previous successful collaborations. The results, achieved through close collaboration, have provided both parties with significant benefits, Heathrow Airport obtained the exact specifications they required and DVS was able to produce some of their next generation products. With an anticipated 35 million passengers a year passing through the terminal, the products needed to be robust and able to withstand a high footfall, along with offering cost and operational savings. 

Bainland Holiday Park, located in Bainland Country Park, were looking for a washroom refresh and specified Franke products for the project. Inspired Washrooms, a Nottingham based fit-out company, executed the project with the installation of a wide range of Franke products including Miranit washbasins and accessories from the Rodan range. Central Scotland Police have selected DVS automatic flushvalves and wave on sensors for their new hand rinse system which have been in place since the early seventies.Due to the nature of the cells a lot of water was being wasted with each flush and hand wash. Choosing DVS flushvalves and wave on sensors for the hand rinse basins will significantly reduce their water usage. DVS flush valves and sensors have various functionalities for high security environments, including ligature resistant designs along with lock out functions to prevent any mis-use. This also prevents the system from being flooded, also minimising any potential water wastage.

A new youth centre’s development is underway to the west of Werribee, in the surrounding area of Cherry Creek and Dart Valley Systems have provided products from the Safe Ensuite range for the project. The Safe Ensuite range is manufactured from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) which is a single skin configuration that has three different weaves of glass fibre to give the product a good internal structural integrity, this is then impregnated with polyester resin to matrix it all together to produce the strong and extremely durable composite material. GRP is virtually unbreakable and ideal for high security and correctional facilities. Dart Valley Systems Ltd have been working closely with Claridges to help reduce water consumption within their washrooms facilities at their London Mayfair Hotel.

DVS recently provided several hand sanitising stations to Didsbury Road School ahead of it's reopening after the pandemic. Encouraging excellent hand hygiene has never been so important as it is today. We were thrilled to provide two Dart Valley branded AC00-050 free standing sanitiser dispensers for the entrance of the school before children returned on March 8th. 

Dudhope Young People’s Inpatient Unit is a new £8 million development, part of the North of Scotland Regional Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and is due to be handed over to the client on 6th March 2015. The facility is to be based on the site of the existing YPU at Dudhope Terrace, Dundee and will include a 12-bed inpatient unit with an education facility and family accommodation for patients from across the North of Scotland.

From a clay pit to a world famous visitor attraction and educational charity, Dart Valley Systems have been working with the Eden project for over 10 years, to help them reduce their water usage.A number of products have been installed at the Eden project including WC flush valves and down lighter urinal controls and touch-free programmable taps. The flush valves and urinal controls are not only an excellent choice for water conservation, but also provide a more hygienic solution with a touch free wave on operation. DVS controls are ideal for high usage areas as they provide a low maintenance solution with adjustable time delays between flushing and other various functionalities which can be set according to a specific building’s needs.

The award-winning Worcestershire Golf Club, Gaudet Luce Golf and Leisure Complex has recently undergone an upgrade of their washrooms. The revamp was completed by Inspired Washrooms, a Nottinghamshire based fit-out company who Franke Water Systems have worked with on numerous projects. We were thrilled to be chosen to supply over 20 washroom products for the project which included composite wash basins, accessories, taps, cisterns and more.  

DVS recently supplied a large number of taps to Harrods. As one of the world’s most famous luxury department stores, Harrods greets millions of visitors every year. When choosing products for their washroom refit a sleek design aesthetic as well as a product that can cope with high traffic usage was a very important part of the selection criteria.

Hindu Temple & Community Centre, Nottingham, looked for a washroom revamp and specified Franke products for the project. Inspired Washrooms, a Nottingham based fit-out company, executed the project by installing a wide range of Franke products. The three-week programme included the installation of Franke Miranit washbasins and accessories from the Rodan range. Miranit is a shatter-proof, resin bonded mineral granite material and provided a robust and aesthetically pleasing solution to the project. The centre, designed as a therapeutic environment for adults experiencing a mental health crisis, features 86 ensuite single bedrooms, as well as courtyard gardens for active recreation and quiet reflection, a shop, café, and innovative treatment and therapy areas.

Langdon Hospital provides forensic mental health services for the Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Lincoln bowl has recently undergone a major washroom refurbishment to give their bowling alley a much-needed makeover. The renovation consisted of a whole washroom revamp from flooring to washbasins, taps, urinals and even the less-abled washroom facilities. The fast food chain has been working to improve their environmental credentials in recent years, and as well as aiming to reduce their restaurants’ energy consumption they are also committed to minimising the amount of water their restaurants use.

Clock View, situated in Walton, Liverpool, replaces the old Walton Hospital which once stood in its place.The £25m site will provide the city’s new psychiatric intensive care unit for urgent inpatient care.

During the design and specification stage of the Metroline washroom installation contract, Lan Services considered the fact that the products chosen would have to be installed within washrooms of varying sizes and layouts. As an institute that has aided in saving lives and protecting our environment, National Physical Laboratory has played an enormous role in helping the British public feel safe and secure. 

Dart Valley Systems Ltd has been working closely with Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, Capital Engineering Manager to improve infection control measures. An initial trial set was set up at North Devon District Hospital using the AquariTherm™ Manual tap. As the AquariTherm range was designed with healthcare environments in mind, it was a great match.One of the taps main selling point, was the patented isolation feature, which allows the tap to be removed for servicing or exchange without the need to isolate the water or remove any panels. This unique feature reduces any down time during servicing or disinfection, with easy to access filters these can be removed, replaced or cleaned in a matter of seconds.

DVS have just completed an installation at Park View Clinic CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) in Moseley as part of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Scheme.

The Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is looking to improve its Adult Mental Health Inpatient services and Dart Valley Systems provided products for its new Sherwood Oaks unit. The new unit aims to give patients, staff, and visitors the best form of services and level of care by providing single accommodation and en-suite facilities that will improve privacy and dignity for patients. Work has been advancing on the new Southern Remand Centre at the Risdon Prison site in Tasmania with the cooperation of Dart Valley Systems. St. Anns, London, new mental health inpatient building Blossom Court is undergoing it’s second phase and specified DVS and Franke products for the project. The unit is due to be completed in Autumn 2002 and aims to replace its old mental health wards with modern, state of the art facilities for patients requiring inpatient care. St Bernard’s Hospital in Southall, West London, is undergoing major redevelopment to improve the sites’ infrastructure, whilst resulting in modern, wellconstructed buildings, designed to support high quality care and flexibility to meet the needs of future patients and services.

The Tate Modern washroom project started back in 2007 and involved the complete refurbishment of all washrooms throughout this prestige and very busy building.

Throughout many years, Dart Valley Systems continue to improve washroom facilities and assist in saving water and money across Tesco stores nationwide.The push taps installed in the washrooms were running longer than required. DVS recommended automatic taps as the lifetime is longer and potentially, up to 30% savings can be made. Even though flow rates may be similar, automatic taps will only run when they are detecting hands. See table below detailing estimated savings at this store when using automatic taps.

The Bullring Shopping Centre is located in the heart of Birmingham Commercial District. It is one of the UK’s busiest shopping destinations, with visitors coming from far and wide to experience a vast choice of shops.

Located on Claverton Down overlooking the historic and picturesque Roman city, the University of Bath has recently invested over £150 million to improve and expand its existing facilities. This includes creating new teaching spaces and student accommodation; and new state of the art academic venues.

The University of Plymouth aims to invest in the campus to advance knowledge and transform the lives of its students. The ‘campus masterplan’ intends to ensure first class learning, research and working environments that is based around low carbon design. Dart Valley Systems provided products for one of its new buildings, Portland House. Real time data can be uploaded from the programmer via the USB port to allow accurate monitoring of water efficiency making this an ideal product for those aiming to be more environmentally friendly. 

The redevelopment of Yatala Prison in South Australia is supporting the advancement of the state’s public prison structure, reinforcing the security and reducing the rate of offending. Dart Valley Systems have contributed to the completion of the $149 million project with the installation of their products.
