Aster restaurant

Luxury restaurant group D&D London commissioned Brintons to design bespoke carpets for its nordic-inspired restaurant, Aster. Brintons created approximately 116sqm of the custom circular repeat pattern for the space, which is located in central London. Brintons supplied carpet for the first floor restaurant and cocktail bar, which includes luxury private dining areas. The carpet has a repetitive dotted pattern, using muted hues to complement the warmth of the restaurant’s key interior features. Brintons chose a natural, circular motif, evocative of nature, in order to establish a link between Nordic cuisine and the natural environment.

Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship

Celebrity Edge is the first in Celebrity Cruises’ new class of ship, built to appeal to the contemporary traveller. The cruise line engaged a number of world renowned designers for their first ship in a new fleet of four, including Tom Wright who designed Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Hotel and Kelly Hoppen MBE with a guiding brief to bring the ocean closer, blurring boundaries between inside and out. Brintons worked with Christy Morales, Designer at Royal Caribbean Ltd to provide nearly 36,000m2 of luxury custom Axminster carpets to the 129,500 tonne $1 billion luxury liner.

Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates

As part of an expansion project to extend the airport with a third terminal, Brintons supplied bespoke carpet for the luxurious Emirates First Class Duty Free Lounge. The airport chose a design from Brintons’ Skulduggery HD Weave Collection to capture the simplicity and elegance of the airport’s interiors through a modernistic combination of geometric yet sophisticated patterns. To perfectly encompass the modern and sleek interior style of the airport’s newest terminal, the bold Skulduggery design was created using a palette of soft greys and browns to mirror the matching surrounding marble interiors of the Duty Free Lounge.

Genting Hotel, Resorts World, Birmingham

Brintons has worked in partnership with Resorts World Birmingham to create a range of stunning bespoke carpets for its luxury four star Genting Hotel. Brintons created 6,424 sm2 of unique Axminster carpet to be installed throughout 4* guestrooms on the third and fourth floors of the Boutique hotel as well as some of the 5* guestrooms, 4* and 5* executive lounges, the luxury Presidential Suite and corridors. Seven carpets were chosen in rich earthy tones to reflect the luxury and decadence of the hotel, and feature creams, browns and beiges that depict nature and geometric inspired designs.

Grand Hyatt Buckhead

The Grand Hyatt Buckhead was initially built as a Nikko Hotel in 1990 and had had a long history of partial renovations diminishing its Oriental overtones since it was converted to The Grand Hyatt. Brinton's senior designer worked closely with Design One Partnership to develop bespoke hand tufted rugs inspired by the illustrations featured in the award winning Timorous Beasties collection. Soft teals and neutrals bring a feeling of elegance and warmth to the space complimenting the rich walnut flooring. Each rug was created to give each space its own identity whilst remaining cohesive with the entire lobby area.

Holland Casino, Rotterdam

Holland Casino in Rotterdam is a stylish and contemporary 24-hour environment offering an upmarket experience of performances and events, bars and restaurants alongside traditional gaming tables and slot machines. Brintons created bespoke carpets for the entertainment and gaming complex Holland Casino Rotterdam, combining the practical benefits of the tile format with the aesthetic demands of a high-end venue in one solution. The unique carpet design employs a dynamic, abstract motif in a predominantly red and gold palette with turquoise accents, a selection of colours typically used in casinos.

Hotel Indigo Stratford-Upon-Avon

Hotel Indigo Stratford-Upon-Avon sits opposite New Place; the house owned and lived in by William Shakespeare. The Grade II listed historic Tudor building, which dates back to around 1500, has been painstakingly restored over a 20-month period, the decorative black and white half-timbered building is blended with modern, stylish, contemporary bedrooms, lounges, a restaurant and cocktail bar. Brintons created bespoke rugs for key public areas and guest rooms within the Hotel Indigo Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of an extensive £13.2 million restoration project.

JW Marriott Surabaya

JW Marriott Surabaya unveiled its spectacular refurbishment in March 2012. Brintons, in partnership with the owner and family of the hotel, created a stunning collection of intricately ornate designs to furnish the hotel's ballroom, prefunction area, lobby lounge and grand staircase. Brintons Singapore team worked closely with JW Marriott Surabaya's owner and family to create a stunning collection of intricately ornate designs to furnish the hotel. 2800 sqm of Brintons 10-row Axminster now graces the hotels floors to create an oasis of refinement and sophistication.

Kameha Grand Zürich, Switzerland

The Kameha Grand Zürich offers outstanding contemporary architecture and neo-Baroque interiors. Brintons worked in partnership with Marcel Wanders to supply a unique range of carpets for the spectacular hotel. The hotel was a year in development and 8.000,00 m2 of custom Axminster carpet was installed throughout the bedrooms, conference rooms, hallways and even on one of the walls of a premier bedroom. Over 6.000,00 m2 of underlay was also installed to help create a comfortable and stylish finish.

Kimpton Fitzroy

Brintons supplied carpets for key public areas within the five-star hotel Kimpton Fitzroy London, a Grade II listed landmark building, which dominates the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Kimpton Fitzroy re-opened in April 2018 after undergoing a multi-million pound renovation. Brintons worked on this project alongside interior design practices Tara Bernerd & Partners and Russell Sage studio. Brintons created a bespoke carpet design for key public areas within the Kimpton Fitzroy as part of an extensive refurbishment programme. The carpet features a steel grey and neutral colour palette, which complements the sophisticated and contemporary interiors.

Marriott Charles de Gaulle

Paris Marriott Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel, part of leading global hospitality company Marriott International, commissioned Brintons to manufacture bespoke carpets for its 2016 renovation. In this large-scale revamp Brintons developed approximately 1,800sqm of bespoke carpets for the hotels; ballroom, meeting room, corridors and pre-function room. Virserius Studio created three bespoke designs for the carpets in a grey and orange colour scheme to remain in line with the hotels original, signature colours.

Marriott Hotel County Hall, London

Set on the vibrant South Bank, London’s County Hall is one of the city’s most impressive and best-known landmarks. Although opened in 1922 as the seat of London’s local government, since 1998 the historic building has hosted the iconic London Marriott Hotel County Hall. Having undergone a major transformation by RPW Design, the five star hotel now brims with distinctive contemporary British style and character. Brintons was delighted to partner RPW on the design and manufacture of bespoke-made Axminster carpets for this technically demanding yet spectacularly creative project.

Quaglinos, London

Quaglino's was founded in 1929 by restaurateur Giovanni Quaglino. It has played host to the glitterati over the years, including Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Diana and Judy Garland. Brintons worked with Russell Sage Studio to produce custom carpets in striking geometric designs for the refurbished restaurant. The interiors have been brought right up to date, whilst keeping the signature Art Deco touches at the heart of the design, with furniture and colour palettes alluding to the era when Quaglino’s was first established.

Queen Mary 2, Cunard

Cunard’s flagship liner RMS Queen Mary 2 has recently undergone a £90 million pound refurbishment. Brintons was appointed by SMC Design and worked closely with Cunard UK to provide nearly 20,000 m2 of luxury Axminster carpets to the 150,000 tonne transatlantic liner that takes inspiration from the original Queen Mary. The refurbishment includes the construction of 15 new single cabins and an additional 30 Britannia Club cabins with Brintons supplying carpets for a number of public areas and suites.

Ramada Encore Dar Es Salaamel

Brintons has created a range of African inspired bespoke carpets for the stunning Ramada Encore Dar Es Salaam hotel in Tanzania. Three styles of Brintons' Axminster carpet were installed throughout the hotel in a range of vibrant tones including the corridors between bedrooms, the entrance lobby, bars and restaurants, as well as the conference hall and pre-function areas. Situated within Tanzania's financial hub the hotel has 116 rooms, five event rooms, a fitness centre, rooftop 360 degree sky bar and three restaurants and cafes, all designed for the needs of travelling business people, combining practicality with spectacular luxury.

Ritz Carlton Phoenix

Nestled in the heart of Arizona, Ritz Carlton Phoenix hotel features deluxe guestrooms, spacious suites and more tan 20,000 sq feet of conference space. Brintons were commissioned to design a public space of this prestigious hotel. Utilizing the unique and revolutionary 24 colour high definition weave technology, these exquisite carpets were realised. Development began with a stylized wire scrollwork medallion to which multi-layered textures and fine detail were added to give a rich patina and depth to the designs.

Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort and Spa

Brintons has designed a stunning range of carpets for Starwood Hotels and resorts' first offering to the Emirate of Sharjah, the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort and Spa. Stunning designs were created to represent nature with floral motifs used in the guest rooms and corridors, whilst the staircases feature striking symmetrical patterns. The centerpiece of the hotel is its luxurious ballroom, which has expansive high ceilings and its own foyer. The carpets fitted incorporate a swirling spherical design, complimenting the local surroundings with the use of brown and gold hues.

Studley Castle, Warwickshire

Brintons supplied carpets for key public areas within Studley Castle, a Grade II* listed gothic revival house set in 28 acres of countryside in Warwickshire. Studley Castle re-opened in March 2019 after undergoing a £50 million transformation. Brintons worked on this project alongside design practices Newman Gauge, Leisure Concepts and Blueprint Interior Architecture. Studley Castle, close to Stratford-upon-Avon, marks the 14th hotel in short-break company Warner Leisure Hotels's portfolio. It is the first hotel the company has opened in nearly 20 years and, stands as the group’s flagship.

The Principal York

Luxury lifestyle hotel The Principal York, formerly the Royal York Hotel, opened in November 2016 after an award-winning remodelling and refurbishment programme that includes bespoke carpets and rugs designed and made by Brintons. Brintons was delighted to be selected to help achieve this ambitious design of the grand 155-room Victorian hotel, in the historic city of York. Working closely with Interior design practice Goddard Littlefair, Brintons own design team helped to design and manufacture over 1700 sqm of custom Axminster wool carpet and rugs for the scheme including corridors and stairs, guestrooms, meeting rooms and private dining room.

Victoria Palace Theatre

Brintons were selected to supply carpets throughout the Victoria Palace Theatre as part of its grand reopening, celebrated by the UK premiere of the award-winning musical ‘Hamilton’. The £50m refurbishment features bespoke Brintons carpets in the theatre’s auditoriums, foyers, salon, landings, lobbies, royal circle and basement rear stalls. Brintons were commissioned by design and architecture practice Aedas and contributed to this project alongside the Victoria Palace Theatre (Delfont Mckintosh Theatre Group) and Clare Ferraby Designs. 5,700sqm custom designed axminster - auditoriums, foyers, salon, landings, lobbies, royal circle, basement rear stalls
