Tactile Plates

Tactile flooring is used to guide and inform the visually impaired. It is intended to warn of potential hazards. In the pedestrian environment, visually impaired people will seek out and use these floor surfaces. The advantage of surface mounted tiles is that there is no need for excavation so disruption is minimized. Each type of tactile flooring has been designed and developed for a specific use.
