SBD Certificate

Secured by Design is a voluntary scheme established in 1989 which is run by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and administered by trained Police staff. SBD focuses on the design and security for buildings and encourages those engaged in design and specification to adopt crime prevention strategies, through the environment and physical security measures. SBD operates a licensing scheme and includes member companies, of which VELFAC are one.
