Commissioning and Verification of Space Heating

by S.A.V. Systems

The “Heat Network Code of Practice 2020” encourages the implementation of independent acceptance testing, ensuring that heat networks perform well enough to guarantee the efficient operation of the dwelling and satisfy customer comfort. This acceptance testing is in fact a minimum requirement, and where heating circuits have not been balanced and commissioned properly, they will not pass. Where systems fail to deliver the specified service then remedial work, recertification and further testing should be undertaken, as necessary. Such an outcome could result in a drawn-out and costly re-commissioning of the system.
