Site assembled roofing and cladding systems.
Site assembled acoustic system with internal and external profiles which offer a choice of perforated liner for acoustic applications.
The Trisobuild® systems can be tailored to meet project requirements including fire resistance and acoustic performance. The system comprises of a Colorcoat® pre-finished steel trapezoidal liner profile, a spacer system, an insulation layer and a Colorcoat® pre-finished steel external weathering profile.
The sound absorption (SA) systems are suitable for roof and wall applications, which can be specified to meet the required acoustic performance standards for any project.
Bespoke options are available for sound reduction, sound absorption or rain noise reduction. Consult the manufacturer for further details.
A stone wool slab of density 60 kg/m² is used above the liner with a vapour control layer (VCL) laid above this, spaced by a steel galvanized top hat stool that supports the spacer system, which in turn supports the external profile and allows standard glass fibre quilt insulation to be added to fulfil the required U-value performance.
Please note that the tested systems have all used a minimal 100 mm layer of quilt, however increasing this to meet lower insulation values will not reduce the absorption figures. Consult manufacturer for details.
Features and benefits:
The system build-up includes:
- Trisobuild SA1 and SA2:
- Trisobuild SA1+ and SA2+:
As above with the addition of the lining panel fitted with rock fibre infill pieces (tissue faced to internal side). 1200 mm long. Nominal density: 45 kg/m³, 0.0035 W/mK.
U-Value performance based on a slab depth of 50 mm (SA1+ and SA2+):
Reaction and resistance to fire:
Trisobuild® SA wall systems have been third party assessed for fire resistance performance and have been shown to provide up to four hours fire integrity resistance and 15 minutes fire insulation resistance. All fire wall system performances have a maximum span limit between supports of 1.525 m.
Thermal performance:
All quoted system U-values and construction ‘psi’ and f values have been computer modelled in accordance with EN ISO 10211 as stated in the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA)Technical Note 14 by trained and experienced technical engineers.
U-Values are based on secondary steelwork support at 1.8 m centres,1.2 m bracket spacing and insulation with a 0.040 W/mK thermal conductivity.
Water penetration:
All roof systems are capable of being laid at a 4° roof pitch (with the exception of the 13.5/3 profile which is limited to 10°) following guidelines provided by the MCRMA technical paper 15.
Sound reduction performance:
Consult technical literature for Acoustic SRI, sound absorption coefficient and frequency information. Varies depending on insulation.
