Application

The Coxdome Polycarbonate Roof Access Hatch is designed for occasional access on to a roof space for inspection of the roof or the facilities located on the roof.

Please Note: The hole size (structural opening size) which needs to be cut into he roof is the size of the rooflight (i.e. a 600 x 600 mm rooflight would require the hole size to be cut of 600 x 600 mm etc). The daylight size would be 200 mm smaller than the rooflight size (i.e. a 600 x 600 mm rooflight would have a daylight size of 400 x 400 mm etc).

Description

The Coxdome Polycarbonate Flat Roof Access Hatch is designed to allow safe, occasional access onto a roof space for inspection of the roof or facilities located on such roof.

Specifying a rooftop access hatch often avoids the need to provide other external facilities for gaining access to the roof. It can also be used as a means of emergency escape.

The Coxdome Flat Roof Access Hatch is available with 150 mm splayed upstand as standard and operates using gas assisted struts.

The upstands are designed to provide watertight thermal break between the finished roof and the rooflight. They have excellent thermal insulation properties and are a more thermally efficient to the standard builder's kerb/upstand and as such help improve the overall U-Value of the unit.

The upstands are compatible with most flat roof membrane systems including single ply, GRP, hot melt, asphalt, liquid and lead.
