Description

The automatic vertical overlapping fire curtain is comprised of a carbon steel barrel and motor incorporating an attached fabric curtain. The barrel deflection conforms to the necessary British Standard BS 6323-5, the fabric can withstand temperatures in excess of 1000°C and the two section bottom rail allows smooth operation of the curtain. The fire barrier shall be powered by an internal 24 V d.c electric motor that has all of the applicable safety standards.

Fully compliance-tested and include fail-safe features enabling them to operate even if there’s a power failure. 

The Flameshield 8524 Overlapping Fire Curtain is an excellent product if aesthetics of the building need to be maintained. The fire curtain's end plates, guides and head boxes can be finished with specialist RAL colours.

Egress switches, access switches, obstruction warnings, and heat and smoke alarms are fully tested to the ancillary equipment Annex H as stipulated by BS 8524-1.

The curtains constructed to Warrington Fire Research Centre, the tests in accordance with BS EN 1634-1 for fire and radiation (radiation and tenability replaces the insulation zone) in accordance with BS 8524. The construction and manufacture is in accordance with Warrington test WF 366190. Manufactured in accordance with certain sections of the new European Standard BS EN 16034.
