Description

PassivGlas™ Linear laminate is an advanced fenestration technology that involves creating a highly insulating retrofit unit by laminating PassivGlas™ vacuum insulated glazing (VIG) with an EVA interlayer and a fully toughened additional glass leaf.

Unlike traditional double-glazed windows, PassivGlas™ Linear laminate adds security alongside the benefits of minimize heat and acoustic transfer through the unit.

Features and benefits:

  • PassivGlas™ Linear laminate can be manufactured into unit thickness of 13.65 mm and upwards, to be utilized into existing frames, allowing endless retrofit possibilities.
  • Offers reduced U-values to as low as 0.50 W/m²K, whilst maintaining up to 77% light transmittance.
  • The minimum glass unit thickness available in PassivGlas™ Linear laminate is 13.65 mm with a weight of 31.5 kg/m².
  • PassivGlas™ Linear laminate can achieve an Rw: 36 dB (UKAS accredited).
  • PassivGlas™ Linear laminate can comply with Building Regulations Approved Documents Q, O, E and L.
  • PassivGlas™ Linear laminate is suitable for existing frames which are in perfect working order, but require an enhanced overall thermal and acoustic performance.
  • Can be leaded to match existing or new designs.
  • Free solar energy, leading to lower energy consumption.
  • No evacuation port to impede view.
  • Appearance of monolithic glass.

Overall frame U-values as low as:

  • Aluminium 0.8 W/m²K.
  • Steel (thermally broken) 1.2 W/m²K .
  • Timber 0.78 W/m²K.
  • PVC-U 1.0 W/m²K.
