Vacuum Insulated Glazing Units suitable for:
Vacuum Insulated Glazing Units suitable for:
PassivGlas™ is an advanced fenestration technology that involves creating a highly insulating window by enclosing two glass panes with a micro-thin gap in between.
Unlike traditional double-glazed windows, which use air or gas as an insulating layer, vacuum glazing employs a vacuum to minimize heat transfer through the window.
The elimination of air or gas from the gap significantly reduces conduction and convection heat losses, making vacuum glazing one of the most efficient insulation methods for windows.
Features and benefits:
PassivGlas™ offers toughened glass as standard with U-values to as low as 0.54 W/m²K whilst maintaining up to an 80% light transmittance.
The minimum glass thickness available in PassivGlas™ is 6.15 mm with a weight of 15 kg/m².
PassivGlas™ can achieve an Rw: 36dB (UKAS accredited).
PassivGlas™ can comply with Building Regulations Approved Documents Q, O, E and L.
PassivGlas™ is suitable for existing frames which are in perfect working order but require an enhanced overall thermal and acoustic performance.
Can be leaded to match existing or new designs.
Free solar energy, leading to lower energy consumption.
No evacuation port to impede view.
Appearance of monolithic glass.
Overall frame U-values as low as:
