Summary
Cellular web system which protects tree roots from damage caused by excavation and traffic loads.
-
-
Application

Site access, access roads, residential driveways, overflow car parks and vehicle hard standings.

Description

A cellular web system that provides protection to mature tree roots from pedestrian and vehicular traffic. It helps distribute the weight of the traffic that, in turn, prevents subsoil compaction around the roots. It is available in depths of 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm.

When filled with granular materials, the system creates a three-dimensional erosion barrier and structural bridge that uniformly distributes weight-bearing loads. The cellular nature of the system confines free draining subbase materials, stabilizing the ground while the perforated cell wall enhances drainage, preventing build-up of hydrostatic pressure.

Unlike traditional road and driveway construction methods, no excavation is required; the panels form a high load bearing, shallow, permeable sub-base above ground.

Features and benefits:

  • Provides a cost-effective solution for long-term root protection.
  • Collapsible cells simplify transportation and on site handling.
  • Rapid and simple installation conforms to most terrain profiles.
  • Ultrasonic welding of cell joints ensures maximum strength.
  • Easily dismantled and subsequently re-used.
  • Withstands high weight bearing loads.
  • Highly resistant to biological attack and a wide range of soil borne chemicals.
  • APN 12 compliant.
