Free swing and hold-open closers electromagnetically linked to fire alarm system. The electromagnetic hold-open devices are deactivated by the integrated fire alarm or smoke sensor system, allowing the fire/ smoke door to close. In the event of an alarm or power failure the magnet is de-energized and the door becomes a self-closing fire door.

Where a building does not have a hard wired fire alarm system, DORMA have a range of closers with an integrated smoke detector system (e.g. DORMA RMZ). Independent electromagnets can be retro-fitted using existing door closers or floor springs. The door is held open at any angle between 75º–180º by means of electromagnetic control. Choose closers from DORMA TS93 EMR, TS92 EMR, TS91 EMR and TS73 EMR or EMB floor springs. The DORMA EM electromagnet range comprises wall or floor mounted or flush-fixed closers, all compatible with a range of armature plates.
