Created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation timber. A fine sawn face or textured face allows a depth of grain, and optimal coating performance.
The thermal modification process means enhanced stability, reduced resin content, is a beautiful homogeneous brown colour, and is naturally durable so does not require any chemical preservatives.
Features and benefits:
- Wood species: Thermally Modified Radiata Pine (Pinus Radiata).
- Vulcan is a Durability Class 1 timber cladding manufactured to meet CE EN 14915 Grade A.
- Available in a range of architectural profiles and can be supplied factory coated in Abodo Protector Oil – Abodo’s high performance pigmented exterior oil.
- The range offers a renewable alternative to some of the more traditional Larch or Cedar cladding that the construction market are used to.
- FSC certified plantation timber is selected before being engineered to create a stable and durable wood cladding product, a key feature of the product is the patented vertical grain construction. This combined with the Thermal modification process permanently changes both the chemical, and physical properties of the timber.
- The increased stability offered from the vertical grain construction allows the use of much wider boards than a standard non-engineered product. This allows the option to secret-fix Vulcan cladding, reducing the risk of moisture penetrating the boards and allowing the possibility of failures.
