Application
Solitex Plus is an external fully windtight breathable membrane for use as a roofing underlay on pitched roofs (over 15° of pitch) and as a breather membrane on the outside of timber frame walls. The membrane can also be used to windproof the underside of an insulated suspended timber floor.
Suitable for:
- Pitched roofs.
- Protecting sarking boards.
- Warm, cold or hybrid roofs.
- As a wall lining breathable membrane.
- Suspended timber floors.
- Use in conjunction with all insulation types.
- The outside of Blown-in insulation.

- Type LR Underlay to BS 5250.
- Complies fully with BS 5534:2014 for UK Wind Zones 1–5.
- Monolithic windtight breathable membrane.
- High UV stability up to three months exposure.
- Extremely high nail tear resistance due to its reinforcement and also ideal for using in conjunction with blown-in insulation.
- High degree of protection for building structures during the construction phase, suitable as a temporary covering.
- Quick and reliable adhesion as a result of integrated connect self-adhesive sections along the length of the membrane (Pro Clima Solitex Plus Connect only)
- Extreme water-tightness (>2500 mm W1) making it suitable for all UK and Irish exposure zones.
- Water tightness is unaffected by wood preservatives, resins and oils in the timber. No water seepage or leaching.
- Windtight: prevents the insulation below from wind-washing/thermal bypass.
