Description
A premium exterior cladding option and sustainable alternative to old-growth Western Red Cedar. Abodo Vulcan Vertical Grain cladding is crafted from thermally modified Radiata Pine – a sustainably sourced, fast-growing timber. Through heat-treatment, the timber gains enhanced stability and durability, which in turn offers optimal coating performance.
Suitable for use on a wide range of projects. Laminated strip of timber result in growth rings running from face to face, giving a refined vertical grain appearance, virtually free of knots.
A major advantage of thermal treatment is its effect on the durability of the timber. The product is modified to outstanding durability (Class 1) due to thermal modification. During the thermal process every cell of the timber is modified, as the treatment penetrates throughout the entire board, ensuring consistently durable material.
Suitable for factory coating with SiOO:X Original or pigmented versions.
