Application

Mineral wool Insulation suitable for internal and external thermal, acoustic and fire insulation in buildings.

Mineral wool insulation applications include:

  • External facades insulated by light-dry method (e.g. sheet, cladding board, siding, lining cement and composite).
  • External walls with elevation of stone or glass.
  • Skeletal external and internal walls (on a wooden and metal structure).
  • Partition walls.
  • Curtain walls.
  • Cavity walls.
  • Suspended ceilings.

Description

Coverock-V is a type of stone mineral wool insulation designed for internal and external thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation in buildings. It is a non-combustible wool mineral insulation material that provides reliable protection against heat loss, noise pollution, and fire hazards. It is specifically tailored for the rainscreen cladding market.

Features and benefits of wool mineral insulation:

  • Slabs of stone mineral wool with windproof black veil facing.
  • Subtle surface appearance when the insulation is visible through gaps in the cladding system.
  • Veil helps to increase windproof resistance at the face, providing enhanced durability and protection against the elements.
  • Classified as an A1 non-combustible material.
  • Used in either a single or multiple layer system.
  • Provides a high level of insulation (0.035 W/m·K).
  • Hydrophobic - water absorption is limited during construction works.
  • Available in a wide range of material thicknesses (60–250 mm).
  • Wool mineral insulation can be cut to any size without the board structure being damaged.
