MetWALL Perform Warranty
MetWALL Perform, an industry changing warranty giving architects, developers and contractors reassurance when specifying SFS through wall products on voestalpine Metsec steel frame systems.
This is an important addition to voestalpine Metsec’s unique Framing range providing warranted, UKAS tested wall combinations, enabling clients to select the most cost-effective performance design solutions.
Metsec Decarb
voestalpine Metsec’s commitment to sustainable construction is emphasised by the introduction of responsibly sourced steel to our product ranges. Manufactured by processes which minimise carbon output by using state-of-the-art electric arc furnaces powered by renewable energy, rather than the traditional blast furnace which burn fossil fuels, Metsec Decarb promises to make a significant contribution towards reducing the carbon dioxide and carbon footprint of the building project.

Steel frame system SFS - Infill walling:
SFS ‘steel framing system’ infill walling represents our most economical framing method. It is constructed from the floor to soffit of the primary structural frame to ‘infill’ the external wall zone.
Overview of the SFS Infill Walling System:
Metsec SFS infill walling forms a secondary structure which is fixed between the primary super structure at floor and soffit. The steel frame system is generally positioned at the slab edge allowing insulation and external finishes to be installed continuously outside the main structural frame.
Parapets and Downstands:
SFS systems can incorporate parapets and downstands, which can readily be formed with SFS using Metsec’s cantilever posts, which can be incorporated within the Metsec steel framing system. These posts can also be used to break up the span of wide openings and allow the formation of ribbon windows.
Compound Sections:
In SFS steel framing systems where it is necessary to use sections with a higher capacity, single sections can be fixed together to form compound sections. This can be done for jamb, cill and lintel sections.
Infill Wall Sections Explained:
voestalpine Metsec SFS infill solution section references are designed to be easy to read and understand at a glance. Each section type is identified by a unique reference consisting of three numerical values separated by a letter or a dash unique to the voestalpines Metsec SFS Steel Framing Systems
