Description

The Ano-Dura Range of powders is designed for areas where an anodise-effect finish is required and attention to aesthetics and quality is important.

Available in an exclusive selection of superior quality low-sheen shades to complement current architectural design trends.

Shades include: Black, Bronze, Gold and Grey, with other colours available on request.

Features and benefits:

  • Aesthetic finish: provides a visually appealing PPC anodise-effect finish with a unique look, and can disguise imperfections on the underlying surface.
  • Versatile applications: the polyester powder can be applied to a variety of metal substrates and different shapes and sizes, whereas anodizing can only be applied to certain types of aluminium within tank size constraints.
  • Repairability: unlike Ano-Dura, anodised coatings are difficult to repair once damaged, and cannot be easily touched up or recoated.
  • Ease of application: Unlike real anodized finishes, these coatings are often easier and quicker to apply compared to the anodising process.
  • Surface preparation: unlike Ano-Dura, anodising requires meticulous cleaning and preparation of the metal surface, which can add to the overall time and cost.
  • High performing finish: the polyester powder is excellent for architectural applications, both internal and external, and ideally suited to public spaces and high-traffic areas due to its superior resistance to wear and tear.
  • Extremely durable: the anodise-effect finish offers long-term cosmetic and functional protection for a long-lasting finish. It offers good resistance to scratches and marking, it is easy to clean, durable and repairable.
  • Weather resistance: Ano-Dura is highly weather-resistant and UV-stable.
  • International Standards of Quality Assurance: the Ano-Dura Range meets Qualicoat and Qualisteelcoat standards - the International Gold Standards in coating systems for aluminium and steel, providing the highest levels of quality assurance.
  • Pretreatment compatibility: Ano-Dura is compatible with a variety of anti-corrosion treatments including Bradleys Qualizinc Ultra-Life Arc Metal Spray. Used in conjunction with Bradleys Bondakote Primer system creates excellent adhesion and greater longevity for the Ano-Dura Range.
  • Cost-effective: can be more affordable than traditional anodising, making these coatings accessible for a wider range of projects.

Sustainability:

Ano-Dura offers several environmental benefits within the parameters of ISO 14001 environmental management system:

  • Low VOC emissions: Ano-Dura finishes emit minimal volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air. VOCs contribute to air pollution and can harm human health.
  • Efficient application: when you apply Ano-Dura powder coating, about 90% of what’s sprayed adheres to the metal surface. The remaining powder can be collected, filtered, and reused. Any leftover powder is safely disposed of as inert material.
  • Energy reduction: unlike the anodizing process, Ano-Dura is much less energy-intensive as it does not require electrolysis.
  • Water usage: unlike anodizing, Ano-Dura requires significantly less water in the production process, which can be a concern in areas where water conservation is critical.
  • Elimination of hazardous substances: Ano-Dura finishes do not require hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).
  • Enhanced durability: Ano-Dura-finished surfaces are highly durable, reducing the need for frequent repair. Long-lasting finishes mean fewer resources used over time.
  • TGIC-free: eliminating the risk of TGIC related adverse health effects.
  • Lightweight materials: Ano-Dura powder coating is a lightweight material adding no significant weight to the substrate which contributes to energy-efficient designs.
  • Promotes sustainability: Ano-Dura-finished products are more sustainable due to their durability, reducing the demand for new raw materials.

In summary, Ano-Dura aligns with sustainability goals by reducing environmental impact and promoting long-term resource conservation.
