Application

Suitable for masonry wall or the inner leaf of a cavity wall.

Suitable for masonry wall or the inner leaf of a cavity wall.

Suitable for masonry wall or the inner leaf of a cavity wall.

Description

Designed to restrain the top of masonry walls or the inner leaf of a cavity wall. They allow vertical movement to accommodate shrinkage or thermal movement of the wall or structural frame, whilst restraining wind loads. The standard Wincro WT75HR suits a 215 mm high block.

Head restraints include:

  • Wincro WT75BHR: The WT75BHR has two angles which clamp the top of the wall and each have 10 mm holes for a single fixing to the underside of a structural member and provides a safe working load of 1.0 kN. Universal size suits 100 and 140 mm blockwork.
  • Wincro WT75HR: Designed to suit standard 215 mm high blocks with a 25 mm maximum joint at the top, and can be adjusted to suit 190–275 mm cut block depths. The WT75HR has a single 9 mm wide slot to allow fixing to the underside of a structural member and provides a safe working load of 1.5 kN.
  • Wincro WT75HRC: Designed to suit standard 215 mm high blocks with a 25 mm maximum joint at the top. The WT75HRC has a notch to allow fixing to the underside of a structural concrete member and provides a safe working load of 1.5 kN. The WT75HRC can fix directly to a 38/17 (WT75HRC38) or 28/15 cast-in channel (WT75HRC28).

Features and benefits:

  • Multiple fixing methods.
  • Provides lateral movement and allows for differential movement.
  • Manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel.
  • Suits all blockwork widths.
