Description

A rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) board highly resistant to compression and that can withstand both occasional and long term static loads.

Features and benefits:

  • Square edged boards. Larger boards are lap jointed.
  • Very high compressive strength.
  • Protects the damp proof membrane from damage.
  • Highly resistant to water absorption.
  • Robust and can tolerate traffic from following trades.
  • Represents no known threat to the environment and has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five.
  • 100% recyclable.
  • BBA approved.
  • BRE Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
  • BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing for Construction Products.

Technical characteristics:

  • Vapour resistivity: The XPS content of Polyfoam Floorboard Extra has a water vapour resistivity of 625 MNs/g·m when tested in accordance with EN 12086.
  • Moisture absorption: 0.7% by volume when tested in accordance with EN 12087.
  • Durability: Continuous service temperature limits up to +70ºC.
