Suitable for use in the following applications:
A comprehensive, durable, reliable and easy to install water supply systems.
The system’s high-quality multi-layer composite pipe comprises three engineered layers: an inner and outer layer of polyethylene - PE-RT and PE-X and a flexible butt-welded aluminium core.
The system's highly engineered fittings comprise PPSU (Polyphenylsulfone) bodies with EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) O-rings, Stainless Steel pressing sleeves and DZR (Dezincification resistant) lead-free brass threaded connections.
Features and benefits:
Specification:
The MLC water supply system shall comprise of three engineered layers: an inner and outer layer of polyethylene, PE-RT(raised-temperature polyethylene) and PE-X (cross-linked polyethylene), and a flexible butt-welded aluminium core. These layers are to be bonded together using a specially formulated adhesive, creating a single, durable product providing an average adhesive force greater than 5N/mm.
The fittings shall be manufactured of PPSU (Polyphenylsulfone), Stainless Steel, DZR (Dezincification Resistant) lead-free brass and incorporate two recessed EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) O-rings on each press connection.
The pipework shall be rated for continuous use up to 95°C at 10bar for 50 years - and be approved for use in both heating and potable water applications.
To ensure visible insertion during installation, the press jaws must not cover or restrict the inspection window during the pressing process. The fittings shall incorporate a leak-before-press function with a leak detection range of at least 1 to 6.5bar if the fittings are unpressed.
The pipework shall be adequately supported throughout its length with suitable brackets or supports. The routing and supporting of pipework shall take into account thermal movement and be to the correct grading to permit air venting and drainage. End caps and / or test plugs shall be inserted in all open ends during the progress of work. The contractor shall be held responsible for the location and removal of any stoppage (foreign matter or air lock), which is found to impeded the circulation/passage of water after the systems have been commissioned, including making good all pipework concerned and bearing the cost of any necessary building work and redecoration.
