The RB1 Buffer is a spring steel post which is available in a variety of different heights and thicknesses. This allows it to be used in all types of applications making it very cost effective.
Due of its small footprint in the parking bay, RB1 Spring Steel Buffers only reduce the overall parking length by the 200 mm depth of the barrier. Sufficient free space must be available behind for barrier deflection.
If required, a base plate can be utilized to spread the impact load on the buffer over a wider surface area in order to avoid damage to the substrate and to assist in levelling the buffer installation on uneven surfaces.
Features and benefits:
- Reduced installation time: The single anchor fixing method is beneficial in reducing drilling time (HAVS) and decreasing time on site.
- Lightweight: The spring steel posts are lightweight and easily maneuvered into position for installation. The design also means the barrier system absorbs the impact load and reduces the tension transferred into the slab.
- Fully compliant: Independently tested by MIRA to BS 6399, also meeting new European Standards BS EN 1991.1.1, which has superseded the British Standard (except 40 and 75 kN which are un-tested).
- Reduced loading into slab.
- Available with BS6180 compliant handrail and mesh strap.
- Can be used for all car park and industrial applications.
- Suitable for split level and ramps.
- Shallow embedment available.
