Description

Cement-bonded wood wool acoustic panels. Troldtekt line, tilt line, v-line, and tiles T4 feature vertical lines in either symmetrical or asymmetrical formations milled into the panel in different configurations to create three-dimensional effects.

Troldtekt are cement-bonded wood wool panels made from wood and cement. The product is made of spruce shredded into wood wool and mixed with cement. The wood used in the production of Troldtekt is from sustainable forestry. Troldtekt can be surface-treated but is often used unprocessed (natural wood and grey natural). Due to the nature of the material, colour variations may occur. These colour variations are most evident in the grey panels, where the cement is 100% responsible for the grey Troldtekt look. Among the factors affecting colour variations are water/ cement ratio, water content of the wood, drying rate, steam curing and curing moisture.

Standards/ approvals:

  • All Troldtekt products have MK approval and meet the classification requirements of DS 1065-1 for Class A materials and the classification requirements of DS 1065-2 for Class 1 cladding.
  • Troldtekt products are CE marked.
  • Troldtekt is certified to the best indoor climate categories by the Danish Indoor Climate Labelling (Dansk Indeklima Mærkning).

A wide range of structures with Troldtekt Acoustics have been tested and certified for use as ceiling and wall cladding in sports facilities in accordance with 'Requirements and testing of ball impact safety, DIN 18032-3, sports facilities'. BS EN 13964 also includes ball impact certification as a parameter, and Troldtekt is classified as Class 1A.

Recyclability
An independent assessor has analysed Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool in detail (100 ppm), and Troldtekt therefore has documentation that its production waste can safely be returned to the natural cycle as a soil improver.

The cement in Troldtekt panels has a high lime content, which helps to neutralise the acids produced during composting. The wood in the panels is an organic material and helps to prevent compost from compacting. This increases oxygenation in the composting process so that carbon and nutrients are recirculated.
