Summary
Siderise CVB acoustic barriers: A semi-rigid composite sheet that reduces sound transmission between rooms, designed for free-standing in both ceiling and raised access floor voids.

Siderise CVB acoustic barriers: A semi-rigid composite sheet that reduces sound transmission between rooms, designed for free-standing in both ceiling and raised access floor voids.
Application

Siderise CVB acoustic void barriers are primarily intended to reduce sound transmision via hidden voids offering potential 'cross talk' paths to adjoining areas. For suspended ceilings or raised access floors, typical voids include those formed at partition lines.

CVB/LAM grades can also be used as a firestop directly above partition lines (in this case the ceiling must be broken either side of the partition). Refer to Fire Performance: Table 2 of manufacturer's technical datasheet for details. Appropriate brackets supplied as part of a system.

Description

Siderise CVB is available in different grades and thicknesses:

CVB/P10 is a bonded composite, comprising a central 10 kg/m² polymeric membrane with high density mineral wool either side. As standard, the mineral wool is faced on the exposed surfaces with a reinforced aluminium foil. Additionally, CVB/P10 is supplied with opposing interlocking rebate joints in one direction. This feature helps maintain acoustic integrity at joints within the barrier.

CVB/LAM has the special 'Lamella' orientation mineral wool core. The advantage of the Lamella construction is that it offers improved acoustic performance at lower surface weights. Additionally, it is more compressible in the plane of the barrier assisting, friction and compression fitting and aiding deformation around surface penetrations. The product is faced as standard on the exposed surfaces with reinforced aluminium foil. Supplied with non-rebated edges.
