Description

A range of CNC grooved particleboards suitable for underfloor heating applications. The high performance boards are available in 1200 and 2400 mm lengths, and can be bonded to with a layer of insulation or finished with a foil facing depending on your project requirements.


The boards provide extremely efficient and high performance underfloor heating for building occupants and are suitable for all types of development including residential and commercial. Underfloor heating pipes are laid inside the panels, and able to retain heat efficiently and effectively. Multiple thicknesses are available.


ResoTherm Chip R:

Structural Testing:

ResoThermchip R has been tested in accordance with:

  • BS EN 1195:1998.
  • BS EN 12871:2013.
  • Ultimate floor load, F max = 6.62 kN.

*Safety factor of 50% should be applied to above value.

Testing parameters:

  • Timber joists = 150 x 47 mm at 600 mm centres.
  • ResoTherm Chip R = 22 mm thick; 16 mm rout at 150 mm centres.
  • ResoBACKER = 6 mm thick; glued and screw at 150 mm centres.


ResoThermchip R dB:

  • A CNC grooved 22 mm particleboard system, with the option of bonded aluminium foiling facing.
  • The high performance boards are bonded to a layer of 8 mm (recycled crumb rubber resilient layer) to help attenuate impact noise (footfall) vibrations passing to the floor below.


System includes Resonate ResoThermchip R/ R dB floor panel and ResoThermEdge flanking strip.


Features and benefits:

  • High thermal performance, with foil facing and insulation layer options.
  • Suitable for all types of 10, 12 and 16 mm UFH pipes.
  • Good heat outputs - UFH pipes are closer to surface finish than traditional FFB (fit from below) installation
  • Can be used on an acoustic system on separating floors.
  • Airborne and impact sound performance varies depending on application, consult literature for details.
