Suitable for use internally and vertical use where the panel is being installed prior to any ceramic tiling being completed.

The 1000TD series range of steel access panels provides access into tiled jointless plaster/ plasterboard walls, where access to mechanical and electrical services is required.

Features and benefits:

• The metal frame holds a plasterboard faced door through a pivot hinge system. The door is held closed with either a concealed push catch (PC) or with a concealed budget lock (BL) which opens towards the user. The pivot hinge system allows the door to be removed during installation. Panels are tiled to match the surrounding tile module. A constant 2 mm gap is maintained between the door and frame by the dome location system.
• Customization of the access panel may be possible including alterative sizes, lock and paint colours, consult manufacturer for details. Foam strip to prevent rattle on leading edge of door, Simple pivot device for easy door removal.
• 1000/TF/TD/PC and 1000/TF/TD/BL:
• Frame: 1.2 mm thick, electro-galvanized carbon steel. Manufactured to suit specified tile module size and finished powder coated semi-gloss white all over.
• Door: 1.2 mm thick electro-galvanized carbon steel frame finished semi-gloss white all over and lined with a plasterboard infill to provide surface to accept tile.
• Locks: Concealed push catch (PC) or budget lock (BL) available on the rear of the door, operated from the front face with an 8 mm square drive key (included). For budget lock, a white round removable cap on the door conceals the keyhole.
• AC1000/TF/TD/PC and AC1000/TF/TD/BL:
• Acoustic versions of the above access panel, which include acoustic gasket update and mineral wool door infill. Sound insulation: 30 Rw dB.
• The acoustic panels have been tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-3 at a UKAS accredited facility.
• A range of access panels to suit sound absorbent ceilings, such as Rigitone or Gyptone are available, along with a bespoke design service. Consult manufacturer for details.
