The Monodraught Sunpipe is designed for installation onto a pitched roof of various building types, including:

The Monodraught Sunpipe natural daylight system directs sunlight into a room from roof level. The Sunpipe collects daylight using a patented diamond dome, using a silverised PVD coated mirror-finished aluminium tube to transfer light to a room, with a ceiling diffuser evenly distributing the light around the room.

30° & 45° adjustable elbows can be used with all SUNPIPE applications to direct daylight to where it is required.

Features and benefits:

• Directs sunlight into a room from roof level by collecting it in a diamond dome and transferring it through a physical vapour deposition (PVD) coated, mirror-finished, anodized aluminium tube to maximize reflections and limit light diffusion.
• A ceiling diffuser will evenly distribute light around the room.
• Suitable for brightening dark rooms and underground spaces.

Components:

• Acrylic diamond dome.
• Acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene (ABS) slate tile flashing plate (3.5 mm). Topped with polymer modified asphalt (PMA) to blend with slate tiled roofs. Supplied with ABS undercloak roofing felt support.
• Crimped end pipe (610 mm, 0.5 mm-thick). Coated with MIRO SILVER® 27/427OAG. Crimped ends fit into plain ends.
• 45° adjustable elbow (0.5 mm). Coated with MIRO SILVER® 27/427OAG. Creates an offset to the pipe (i.e. to deviate course). Can be rotated to achieve different angles.
• Plain end pipe (610 mm, 0.5 mm-thick). Coated with MIRO SILVER® 27/427OAG.
• Plywood backing plate (4 mm). Helps to mark out the opening at ceiling level and provides additional structural fixing for the diffuser.
• Ceiling extension (250 mm, 0.5 mm-thick). Provides a permanent joint between the diffuser and end pipe. Coated with MIRO SILVER® 27/427OAG.
• Double-glazed MicroPrism ceiling diffuser. Offers high thermal performance whilst ensuring maximum spread of natural daylight. White finish.
• Installation pack contains silicone sealant, screws, sealed rivets, neoprene washers, brushed nylon condensation seal, aluminium tape and universal installation instructions.
