Range of insulation options for use in movement/ expansion joints under joint covers.


Jointofeu® fire barriers:

Rope fire barriers for use in concrete floor and wall joint applications.

  • Manufactured from mineral wool encased in a braid of glass yarn.
  • Sizes to suit small-medium joint widths (20, 40 and 60 mm) with up to 20% movement requirements.
  • Suitable for concrete floor and wall applications with substrate thickness minimum 200 mm and substrate density minimum 2200 kg/m³.
  • Tested to EN 1366-4 and classified under BS EN 13501-2 to offer 3 or 4 hour protection from fire.
  • Supplied complete with a suitable fire retardant adhesive.
  • Economical and easy to install.


Monoflex (OFX) fire barriers:

Blanket-type fire barrier system consisting of insulation layers encased in a stainless steel foil, supplied with integral galvanised steel flanges.

  • Models to suit floor and wall movement joints.
  • Floor and wall joint widths: 25–505 mm.
  • ANSI/UL 2079 tested for a one-hour and two-hour rating (see model specific information)
  • Test included cycling capabilities of ±50% horizontal expansion/contraction movement and shear movement.
