Description

Site assembled walling system with internal and external profiles.

The Trisobuild® systems can be tailored to meet project requirements including fire resistance and acoustic performance. The system comprises of a Colorcoat® pre-finished steel trapezoidal liner profile, an Instaloc® Plus spacer system, an insulation layer and a Colorcoat® pre-finished steel external weathering profile.

The Trisobuild® VW System is a vertically run wall system which can provide an efficient external cladding system. The system provides the designer with an infinite number of combinations to create a unique aesthetic.

The capability of the systems can also allow the designer to specify the correct performance for the building and elevation. With tested components, the system provides a range of thermal, acoustic and fire resistance performance levels. The wall system can achieve up to four hours fire integrity and one hour fire insulation.

Features and benefits:

  • Certified 'very good' to Building Research Establishment (BRE)'s responsible sourcing standard BES 6001.
  • Available with Platinum® Plus - a system guarantee of 25-years, that covers the durability, structural and thermal performance of all system components. The guarantee is derived from a tailored specification to suit your building function and is fully transferable on change of ownership of the building.
  • Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) LPS 1181-1 approved 460a 14, 15, 19, 23 and 31.
  • The insulation within the system has both zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and low global warming potential (GWP). Both these factors support the achievement of a high Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating.
  • Trisobuild® wall systems have been third party assessed using BS 476–22 ‘Fire resistance of non-load bearing elements’.
  • All steel elements are recyclable, without any loss of quality. The insulation can be separated easily and if kept ‘clean’ can be recycled. A product specific environmental product declaration (EPD) is available for all Trisobuild® systems.

Trisobuild® FW (fire wall) range system build-up:

  • The resistance to fire insulation and integrity in minutes are: FW30V: 30/240, FW60V: 60/240.
  • For the FW30V system, a minimum 160 mm Knauf FactoryClad insulation quilt should be used. For the FW60V system, a minimum of 200 mm Rockwool quilt of nominal density 24 kg/m³ should be used.
  • External profile, side lap stitching is optional but recommended at a maximum 500 mm centres for aesthetic reasons only.
  • Minimum 140 mm high Instaloc® Plus spacer system for the FW30H system should be used and 180 mm for FW60H.
  • Internal liner profile.

Supporting structures:

  • When sheeting rails heat up during a fire they cease to function as structural members. Therefore, to prevent the wall from moving downwards under its own self-weight either a support at the head or base of the wall is required.
  • All Tata Steel firewalls can be designed to be supported from eaves, beams/ stanchions or rafters and posts if situated on a gable end. However, these elements must be protected using conventional fire protection materials to give the same period of fire resistance as the firewall.

Reaction and resistance to fire:

  • All Trisobuild® VW systems have an internal reaction to fire classification of A1 and an external reaction to fire of A1 when using Colorcoat Prisma®, and when using Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® is deemed to satisfy B-s3-d2 in accordance with ADB2.
  • All fire wall system performances have a maximum span limit between supports of 1.525 m.

Thermal performance:

All quoted system U-values and construction ‘psi’ and f values have been computer modelled in accordance with EN ISO 10211 as stated in the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) Technical Note 14 by trained and experienced technical engineers.

U-Values are based on secondary steelwork support at 1.8 m centres, 1.2 m bracket spacing and insulation with a 0.040 W/mK thermal conductivity.

U-values:

U-Values are based on an LP1000 liner, secondary steelwork support and brackets at 1.5 m centres, 1.5 m vertical bar spacing and insulation with a 0.040 W/mK thermal conductivity.
