SIS Global Seating's FD 200 retractable upholstered individual seating has been installed extensively in schools, colleges, universities, theatres and other performing arts centres. The design of the seating system allows maximum seating capacity and an economic solution to seating projects.

-Seating:

• Options include exposed plywood panels for the seats and backs, to enhance the appearance and durability of the chair.
• Upholstered or wooden armrests that can be added where required and the chair has different depths of backrests together with a choice of seat fabrics. There are numerous installation options and a range of seat spacing widths available.
• Chairs can be removed to create wheelchair spaces.
• Compact Dimensions when closed.
• The options also include the opportunity to have seat numbers and row letters and a variety of installation formats including fixed, fold-down and removable.
• Robustly constructed, this seating solution provides a durable tip-up seat base and easy foot-operated pedal release mechanism to fold all chairs onto the platform for storage.

-Platform:

• Under structure features double support column for each wheel post for added strength, stability, and long term durability.
• Each deck / tier is fully adjustable to allow for uneven floors and ongoing maintenance.
• Between each row are cushioned pads to reduce noise levels when people walk on the seating tiers.
• Each retractable has a row alignment system. No plastic parts or wires are used to ensure long term durability.
• Each bottom track and the adjacent track is fully interlocked and cannot separate during operation.
• All decks and aisle steps are covered with a durable and hard-wearing carpet.
• All exposed edges of the carpet are finished with aluminium trim and nosing with a coloured insert to the leading edge of each aisle step.
• Other flooring options are available including vinyl and phenolic ply.
• Optional integral power operation of the seating system is available complete with a detachable control pendant for ease of operation.
• Manually operated units are also available for platforms and seating up to 8 rows high and have a maximum tier width of 6,100 mm.
• Demountable rails are available for front, rear and side edges.
• Demountable side curtains are also available.
• Self-storing rails, for side edges only, allow for ease of operation and storage.
• Aisle lighting can be incorporated into the platforms.
• Retractable units can either be Wall/Floor fixed or set into a recessed area.
• Unit can be portable and also be truncated to view over barriers or handrails.
• Units can be joined together to form larger banks of unlimited seating length. These types of banks must be electronically operated.
• All SIS retractable units comply with BS EN 1090-1:2009 +A1:2011 & BS EN 1090-2:2018 – Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures.
• All SIS retractable units have their respective CE Marking Certification.

• All upholstery complies with BS EN 5852, Source Ignition source 0, 1 & 5 (Crib 5) in respect of flame retardancy.
