Application
Rocksilk® EWI Slabs are specifically for use with external wall insulation systems. The slabs can be either adhered and mechanically fixed or just mechanically fixed to the substrate then overlaid with a mesh and render system to the designers/system suppliers specification. The slabs offer a solid and robust supporting substrate for the render and no fire stops are required.

Knauf Insulation Rocksilk® EWI Slab Plus is a rock mineral wool insulation slab, developed for use in external wall insulation systems, with the strongest mechanical characteristics in the range. Slabs can be either adhered and mechanically fixed or just mechanically fixed to the substrate. The fire resistance of the product removes the need for fire barriers, providing simple, quick and economical installation of external wall insulation systems. Knauf Insulation Rocksilk® EWI Slab is non-combustible with the best possible Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification.
