OVERVIEW
Valley is a place where people will soon live, work and enjoy city life. In the heart of Amsterdam's Zuidas district, a mix of offices, a cultural exhibition space, shops, parking facilities and flats is rising up.
Valley is a new form of urban living that combines the best of two worlds: city life and natural surroundings. Heraklith and Knauf Insulation were able to contribute to these high-quality buildings in various places.
Challenge.
When designing Valley in Amsterdam, the focus was on sustainability, comfortable living and working. It was a requirement of the client that all materials should score highly on sustainability. The people who work, live or visit there must feel very comfortable.
Create.
The solution was found in Heraklith wood wool combi panels and the Naturoll 032 from Knauf Insulation. The Heratekta & Herafoam wood wool boards were used as thermal and fire insulation (Euro fire class B). The Naturoll 032 glass wool insulation is made with ECOSE Technology, a natural binder which contributes to the sustainable character of the building.
Care.
Specifically for projects in busy city centres or in locations with little storage, it is possible to agree a delivery schedule. We then deliver the required amount of wood wool cement boards in consultation with the builder. In addition, all Heraklith wood wool boards are made from 100% PEFC certified wood.
