STUDENT ACCOMODATION - Stay Club Uses Be-Tech Electronic Locksets

OVERVIEW

Be-Tech electronic door sets have been fitted on two new developments in London, known as “The Stay Club” which are student accommodation blocks for international students visiting the UK and located near to tube stations and amenities.

The Kentish Town development is a seven-story building with 353 bedrooms, consisting of single, twin and multiple occupancy rooms all fitted with the Be-Tech door sets and using the Virtual Network software wirelessly linked to the main frame computer terminal in the reception. The building provides students with a cinema, disco, gym and spacious social areas, with card readers to control access, all linked to the Be-Tech system.

Using the Virtual Network system means that user cards are issued at the reception and the card when in contact with the lockset will override the previous user card.

Also fitted in the lifts are readers to permit access via the lifts to each floor, for additional security each landing has a card reader to only allow authorized user cards into each landing.

The Colindale development is nineteen-story building with 576 bedrooms again fitted with the Be-Tech Electronic lockset, virtual software and readers fitted to each lift and landing.

Both sites use AEM10002 Monitored Electro-magnetic Locks with the card readers and each bedroom is fitted with an energy saver.

The management on both sites are delighted with the flexibility of the system, the ease in programming and issuing of cards.
