OVERVIEW
The Challenge
A derelict area of West Timperley, Altrincham, which had been subject to numerous acts of vandalism and had become a local eyesore, was to be demolished and replaced by 62 new, residential dwellings comprising 33 family homes – 20 three-bed, 11 four-bed and two five-bed houses – and a further 12 one-bed and 17 two-bed apartments.
The Solution
Forterra’s Carsington Cream brick was selected to meet the requirements of the design and to add a sense of quality and solidity to the area.
The Benefits
The new development creates a high-quality environment, which builds on the character of the surrounding neighbourhood. It has proven a welcome addition to the area and has helped to attract further investment.
