Ole Sereni Hotel

The Ole-Sereni Hotel in Nairobi Kenya has been completed furbished with Ansell lighting products, from the bedrooms, meeting rooms, reception and kitchen areas. Chosen for our commitment for quality products, the installation has created a warm, welcoming and relaxing space throughout the hotel for staff and guests.

In the ceilings throughout the inside of the hotel, both Twistlock LEDs and Unity downlights were installed. Twistlock downlights are designed with an IP44 rating, so they are ideal for the variety of spaces throughout the hotel. Available as either a downlight or as a gimbal variation, they come in a range of finishes including white, satin chrome, black and silver grey making them a flexible product suitable for a wide range of settings.

A number of downlights from the Unity range were installed, chosen as they are all compact and high performance, professional downlights with an IP44 rating as standard. With a Die-cast aluminium construction, powder coated and with a 30° cut-off angle, it is an anti-glare design to create visual comfort for those using the space. Available as a dimmable and emergency options.

Within the hotel in the dining areas, communal walkways, bar area, outside balconies, a mix of Twistlock LEDs and Unity LED downlights, as well as Addar LED strip, was installed creating a stunning and relaxing space.

In the bedrooms, Iris LEDs were also installed in addition to the downlights used throughout the inside of the hotel. These micro recessed adjustable downlight are designed with a 40° tilt angle and are suitable for multiple uses, including general downlighting, retail, cabinets and furniture applications.

The Ole Sereni Hotel has a dedicated space to promoting artists and their work and the Unity 150 LED Wallwash was selected as a suitable fixture for creating the best light to show off the artist’s work. As a recessed adjustable wallwash it has 355° rotation flexibility and an adjustable tilt angle from -15° to 45°. It has a die-cast aluminium body and heatsink design for good thermal management as well as a remote driver with plug and play connection for ease of installation. Available in cool or warm white with an option for digital dimming and OCTO enabled.

In the hotel kitchens, Defender recessed modular panels were installed as well as Eagle 3-in-1 Emergency Exit signs. The Defender panels are IP65 rated clean air recessed and sealed LED luminaire, designed specifically to endure arduous environments. Their high quality steel housing with welded frame is fitted with TP(a) rated diffuser providing excellent diffusion and outstanding light transmission. Designed for environments such as laboratories, hospitals, clean rooms, kitchens and showers.

The Eagle 3-in-1 emergency exit signs can be installed as suspended, recessed or with a side arm wall mounting. Available with a self-test option, they have a viewing distance of 25 metres.
