National Physical Laboratory

The National Physical Laboratory, the UK’s National Metrology Institute, was due a washroom upgrade and Dart Valley Systems provided products for the project. Developing and maintaining national primary measurement standards, the NPL has been responsible for building reliable and successful measurement foundations that help evolve antibiotics to tackle resistance, more effective cancer treatments, superfast 5G and unhackable quantum communications.

Our DVS no-touch WC flushing system is an electronically operated drop valve that replaces the traditional syphon and delivers a measured volume of water to the lavatory bowl from the cistern. A simple wave of a hand past the fitted sensor will activate the electronic Flush valve. The system typically saves 30% on water costs, is vandal-proof, and is easy to install and maintain. For over a hundred years, the NPL has worked with its customers to convert scientific proficiency into economic success, proficient employment, and an enhanced quality of life. As an institute that has aided in saving lives and protecting our environment, National Physical Laboratory has played an enormous role in helping the British public feel safe and secure.
