OVERVIEW
A project to install a communal heating system at low rise flats and maisonettes at Bretton House and Sanders Way, in the London Borough of Islington, is using bespoke metal pipe casings to conceal external pipework.
The more efficient heating system was installed as part of Islington Council’s ongoing cyclical repair programme, which assesses all properties on a 7 to 10 year cycle to establish where improvements need to be planned & implemented.
The Pendock casings are manufactured from 2mm thick corrosion resistant aluminium and incorporate a brown PPC finish to integrate with the brickwork and provide a consistent finish to the project. The use of aluminium not only improves weather resistance, but also adds tough protection to the external pipework.
