HIgh Specification retractable seating at The Cube - Southampton University Students' Union
OVERVIEW
The Cube is an incredibly multipurpose space. Its uses include a lecture theatre, cinema, circus training arena, Zumba studio and nightclub to name a few. The retractable seating is therefore operated on a daily basis.
High specification Recital T chairs with foldaway writing tablets were chosen for their good looks, practicality and versatility. They are finished in a raspberry-grey colour scheme to complement the contemporary interior.
The platforms close away at the touch of a button, sliding into a specially designed storage area. Customised fascias create a seamless façade, completely protecting the chairs when the system is closed.
