Glenwood SEN School

Glenwood SEN School is a specialist school catering to children with additional learning needs. In 2017, as part of a wider refurbishment programme led by Morgan Sindall, the school required bespoke fitted furniture solutions for classrooms, specialist areas, and staff facilities. The goal was to create an environment that is safe, durable, and fully accessible for all users.

Benchmark FF&E Solutions manufactured and installed all fitted furniture for Glenwood SEN School. The project focused on creating a hygienic, functional, and hard-wearing environment across classrooms, vocational areas, therapy rooms, and staff facilities. Key considerations included accessibility, durability, and ease of maintenance, supported by full project management from design through to installation. The specification featured neutral, professional finishes to promote a calm and focused learning environment, with cabinetry constructed from postformed laminate and MDF engineered for longevity in high-use areas. Worktops were supplied in a variety of heights, including fixed and adjustable options, to meet SEN accessibility requirements. Specialist sinks and taps were fitted in DT, Food Tech, and laundry areas to ensure hygiene and practicality, while additional fittings such as coat hooks, pinboards, and tamperproof display boards enhanced organisation and information management. All installations were delivered OTIF (on time in full) with minimal disruption to school operations.
