Fawkham Manor is a remarkable restoration of a historic Kent estate, originally designed by renowned Gothic revivalist architect Edward Buckton Lamb. This development has transformed the iconic Grade II listed building into an exclusive collection of eight luxurious apartments. Nestled in the serene Kent countryside, Fawkham Manor offers a sanctuary where timeless heritage is harmoniously intertwined with modern, sophisticated living.

THE CHALLENGE

The aim of the project was to provide a fully integrated mail solution that catered to the specific needs of the eight apartments within Fawkham Manor. The solution had to ensure residents’ mail security and ease of access while complementing the restored Gothic architecture of the building. Our design needed to be unobtrusive yet effective, blending seamlessly with the estate’s aesthetic and maintaining the sense of prestige and exclusivity that defines Fawkham Manor.

We approached this project with a clear goal: to create a mail system that would not disrupt the integrity of the Manor’s historic appearance but instead enhance its function as a modern residential space. By working closely with Jasper Management, we ensured that the final product honoured the heritage of Fawkham Manor while providing cutting-edge security and functionality for its residents.

OUR SOLUTION

Our approach to the Fawkham Manor project centred around delivering a mail solution that perfectly aligned with the dual demands of preserving the historic aesthetics of the building while providing a secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience for the residents.

To achieve this, we implemented the myRENZ full frontal opening mailbox system, a premium solution that integrates modern functionality with discreet design. The mailboxes were recessed into the wall of the lobby, ensuring they remained easily accessible to residents while blending seamlessly into the building’s elegant interiors.

The decision to implement a recessed, front-access solution was driven by several key factors:

1. Aesthetic Harmony: The myRENZ full front opening system, with its sleek, customisable design, allowed us to blend modern utility into the traditional elegance of the manor without compromising its aesthetic appeal.

Working closely with Jasper Management and the project’s design team, we identified the best location for the mailboxes within the Manor’s lobby and customised the mailbox to fit seamlessly into the lobby’s wall, ensuring a sleek and polished appearance that harmonised with the building’s interior design. We tailored the dimensions, finish, and functionality of the system to ensure it complemented the Manor’s luxurious and historic atmosphere.

This carefully thought-out solution ensured that Fawkham Manor’s residents received a modern and practical mail delivery system, without detracting from the timeless beauty of their surroundings.
