Farnham Road Hospital

OVERVIEW

At the £30 million redevelopment of Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford, Surrey, BriggsAmasco has installed a complex waterproofing system that will provide outstanding weather tightness for a new extension set to house four wards and 60 ensuite bedrooms. Originally built as the Royal Surrey County Hospital, with advice from Florence Nightingale, Farnham Road Hospital first opened in 1866. The site’s redevelopment by main contractor Laing O’Rourke includes retention of a Grade II-listed main building and the creation of a new extension.
