OVERVIEW
Within the picturesque market town of Otley (West Yorkshire), on the banks of the River Wharfe and in the shadow of Otley Chevin, our EN81-3 BKG Dumbwaiter Service Lift assists Buon Apps, a hugely popular family-run Italian restaurant.
The restaurant is over two floors, with the kitchen on the ground floor and the main seating on the upper. The client required two Shorts-BKG Dumbwaiter Services Lifts to operate as separate “clean” and “dirty” lifts. One carries freshly cooked food from the kitchens, and the other takes dirty plates and equipment back to the pot-wash.
Our New Lifts Distribution team worked closely with Liftco Ltd to specify, design and supply a custom-built 50KG Dumbwaiter Service Lift and a 100kg Advantage Dumbwaiter with heated car floor and adjacent entry car, which is available from stock within our Bradford warehouse.
Key elements were:
What is also uncommon with this specification is the requirement for two adjacent entrances on floor one to allow loading and unloading from two different sides of the lift car simultaneously.
The restaurant wanted a set of dumbwaiters that could be relied upon at the busiest times to ensure the high-quality service of Buon Apps was never compromised.
Our EN81-3 BKG Dumbwaiter Service Lifts are relied upon daily by the UK’s top bars, restaurants, hotels, cafes, and retailers, as well as in numerous other commercial and residential applications.
Our dumbwaiters, fine-tuned over the last 60 years, are easy to use while providing optimum performance and long-term reliability.
