The Project:

The Crown Street development is an ambitious Build to Rent (BTR) project located in Manchester, consisting of two towers—21 and 51 stories tall—and offering a total of 664 luxury apartments. Designed to provide an unparalleled living experience, the development features high-end amenities such as a residents' lounge, private dining areas, 24/7 concierge service, co-working spaces, a 20-meter swimming pool on the 44th floor (the highest residential pool in the UK), a cutting-edge gym, a holistic studio, and two roof garden terraces with stunning views of the city. This prestigious project demanded attention to detail and premium finishes across every aspect of its design.

The Challenge:  

Renaker sought a solution for the mailboxes that would complement the luxurious design of the Crown Street development while meeting the functional needs of the residents. The challenge was to integrate secure mailboxes within the building’s modern design, ensuring that they were both stylish and practical. In addition to the aesthetic considerations, the mailboxes had to be installed as wall recessed units to preserve the sleek and streamlined look of the interiors. The mailboxes needed to provide secure mail storage in a high-rise environment, maintaining both accessibility and security.

Our Solution:

The Safety Letterbox Company collaborated closely with Renaker’s design team to create a custom solution that met all the functional and design requirements. The result was a bespoke steel 2 mailbox system, designed for an in-front/out-front installation and recessed into the walls to preserve the building's aesthetic. The mailboxes were finished in Black Grey RAL 7021 to match the woodwork and overall design of the building. To enhance the visual appeal, number engraving with gold infill was added to the mailboxes, providing an elegant and luxurious finishing touch that aligns with the high-end design vision of the development.
