Barber and Bistro

OVERVIEW

Gladstone Barber and Bistro is a story of family. It is not just a combination of 2 businesses working side by side. It is an accumulation of morals, values and thoughts that go towards creating an experience like no other.

The team behind Gladstone Barber & Bistro set out to create a space that lived up to everything they believed in. Even the smallest of details, such as emergency lighting, plays a role when it comes to crafting a beautiful, relaxing space.

Emergency exit signs might not be the most exciting lighting product, but when it comes to the Adler, it’s innovative features make it a must have.

Adler has been designed for flexibility for installers with a rotatable legend feature that dramatically reduces waste. The arrow legend can be rotated according to the needs of the space, this reduces waste and increases flexibility. There is no need to order separate legends when ordering the Exit Sign.

The Exit Sign enables a choice of five different mounting options: suspension, recessed, ceiling surface, wall surface, side arm wall mounting. The unique ratchet adjustment design allows the legend to be adjusted and fixed at any angle between 0° - 180°, ensuring the Adler Slim Exit Sign can be installed almost anywhere making it one of the most flexible emergency products on the market.

The Adler is powered by a LiFePO4 Lithium battery, providing improved energy consumption, product reliability and lifetime. The benefits of Lithium technology include a smaller battery giving flexibility to luminaire design, a lower parasitic load and reduced power consumption. It provides protection against overcharging and mechanical damage and also uses pulse charging instead of tricle charging meaning less strain on components, thus extending the product lifetime.

The Adler, for all its innovative features, is also designed to be aesthetically pleasing. Gladstone Barber and Bistro went with the black version of the Exit Sign, making it fit beautifully into the interior design.

Another emergency luminaire installed was the Falcon. A compact surface ultra-low profile recessed self-test emergency downlight that comes in black and white finishes.

Supplied with open area and escape route interchangeable lenses, and featuring a high specification optic design and performance allows increased spacing (up to 19.6m) providing reduced cost.

Following the installation of the Adler exit sign and Falcon, multiple OCTO Bluetooth enabled smart controllers were installed for use with the OCTO Casambi eco-system which is suitable for commercial applications such as the Gladstone Barber & Bistro.

The controllers are compatible with all other Bluetooth OCTO Casambi devices as part of the thriving OCTO Casambi ecosystem and provide intuitive fast operation from a smart lighting app. The app provides full control, dimming, scene setting and pre-set timers.

Easy and fast installation is supported by the push-fit loop-in, loop-out terminals and a screw-less design.

Overall, even the smallest of details must be thoughtfully planned to craft a great experience and with the Adler, Falcon and OCTO Controllers, Gladstone Barber & Bistro have lighting products that go above and beyond.
