Alu-Clad timber windows Bermondsey blocks 1, 2 and 6

OVERVIEW

Client: London Square

Architect: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM)

Scope: Design, manufacture, and installation of over 980 alu-clad timber tilt-and-turn windows and sliding doors

TRC were appointed by London Square to design, manufacture, and install more than 980 alu-clad tilt-and-turn windows and sliding doors for their mixed-use development at 58 Grange Road, Bermondsey, London.

Specified by multi-award-winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM), TRC’s high-performance windows and doors exceeded the project’s demanding requirements for aesthetics, durability, and thermal efficiency.

The alu-clad timber systems deliver exceptional performance, achieving wind resistance up to 99 mph and a U-value of 1.2 W/m²K. This level of precision engineering ensures a warm, quiet, and energy-efficient environment for residents, even in extreme weather conditions, helping to reduce energy consumption and heating costs.

Safety was also a key design consideration. Each window and balcony door features an integrated child-safety restrictor within the hinge mechanism, alongside PAS 24:2016 burglar resistance certification, providing residents with enhanced peace of mind and security.
