Based on technology from Eaton, an existing system was upgraded quickly and successfully to state-of-the-art standards in terms of monitoring, safety and personnel protection.

Location: Hamburg, Deutschland

Challenge: Modernization of an existing low voltage main distribution unit for increased system availability and safety.

Solution: Modan switchgear, BreakerVisu logging and visualisation system, IZM and NZM circuit breakers, Smart-Wire-DT wiring system, diagnostic systems for continuous temperature monitoring, Arcon arc fault protection system.

Results: Good-as-new system equipped with extensive monitoring functionality connected to the control system enabling data examination even for individual circuit breakers, unexpected temperature spikes at critical points are reported early and switchoff is quick and reliable in the event of an arc fault.
