OVERVIEW
Accoya selected for the cladding and decking of the new Forest of Genetic Resource Department in Korea. To date, this project marks the largest wooden scale structure in the whole of Korea. Because of this iconic status the construction had to ensure that the most advanced materials such as Accoya were chosen. Due to the project being 4 storeys high Accoya was selected for its extreme durability and stability. Designed by IDS architects, Accoya was also chosen because of its natural & bespoke aesthetic. Due to Accoya’s light appearance the cladding could be painted to satisfy the designers requirements.
