A sensitive steel window restoration preserves the character of this delightful 1930s home

OVERVIEW

Not surprisingly the owners of this property wanted double glazing but it was essential that the look of their character house was retained. Clement EB24 steel windows have been conceived to do just that so they were chosen as the best replacement product for this project. The 24mm double glazed unit had 18mm marginal oval leads applied skilfully to the inside and outside of the outer pane to replicate the unique leaded light look but creating a much more thermally efficient window. The frame colour was matched with RAL 9010 white, complemented with dark bronze effect handles and peg stays.
