Manchester Metropolitan University have recently installed the first Hufcor ‘Summit’ vertically operated movable wall in Europe. The Hufcor Summit fully automatic operable wall provides the ideal solution to divide the open plan area from the servery area in the Geoffrey Manton Building. The system is made up of four panels approximately 11000mm wide, each panel stacking in the ceiling void when the wall is retracted. The panels are finished in a white high gloss finish which also provides a writable surface, in the case of MMU, a graphic design has been applied to enhance the image of the Atrium Café.
